Potential Applicants:

In the summer, if you have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or above, you should receive an email inviting you to apply. If you are senior who applied as a junior and did not get accepted, you should notice that that application submission is different than last year, but most of the content is the same.

SELECTION PROCESS:

After you submit your application, the selection process begins in the fall.

1)  A survey is sent to all Naperville North staff members, who do not read the applications, but evaluate and comment on the applicant's character and leadership that they have observed.

2)  Five faculty members read the applications and evaluate them based on leadership, service and character.  Since seniors have had more opportunity for service and leadership, they are evaluated with higher expectation than juniors.

3)  The five faculty members meet to discuss the applications and full-staff survey.  Through this discussion, a determination of acceptance or rejection is made for each applicant. There is not a minimum or maximum number of students accepted.

4)  Applicants are notified via mail. Seniors should hear back near the end of September, and Juniors near the end of October..
